Being able to add half days is very high on our wishlist too, this is the only thing that Team Gantt doesn't do for us.

Having option for at v least 0.25 granularity is high on wishlist. Would love to see this.

Please allow tasks to be set by hours. One of the developers of the Agile Methodology teaches at my university and we were taught that estimating in hours is one of three ways to plan. I prefer hours for small but crucial tasks, and for planning homework. This could be a great tool marketed to university students if you included hours for tasks.

Definitely need user option to set time granularity. Those who need other time spans at the atomic level of a specific project like hours, minutes, seconds(?), weeks, months, years(?). Why not, if the software is well written its a no-brainer.

I disagree. If you're scheduling to that level, it's too detailed. Personally, I won't schedule anything less than a week.

If implemented, there should be a user-specific option to shut it off too, because I like having the whole-day granularity. (This simplicity of TeamGantt is one of its great strengths.)

Or in conjunction with percentages, offer assignments based on hours. 25% of an 8 hour day is 2 hours, but if it is a 6 hour work day or 10 hour work day the hours change. To be able to assign specific, set hour amounts would be helpful ( a "milestone" meeting for example that is part of the workflow for proofing... setting it as a 1.5 hour meeting located within an 8 hour day is eas1er to set up rather than "18.75%" of a work day. It seems more logical from a UI standpoint.)

Or the ability to assign a percentage of effort for a resource. If I have 4 tasks that I know one resource can accomplish in a single day and I assign those in parallel, it would be great to be able to assign them each at 25% of the resource's effort so that they all add up to just a single day's work and not 4 days' worth of work.
