Resource/Company Label Notifications
When assigning a task to a company label formally known as resource just like the members in your team they would get an email notification. Simply stating the task name, when the task is due to start and any notes/attachments that have been added to that task.

Want to be able to color code the high level task groupings without eliminating the resource color coding below.
When we collapse the Gantt - it looks like a sea of grey lines. We need color to differentiate these higher level tasks. Please provide more colors!!!!!

Have a Project Health Report available for ALL projects instead of just MY projects
As a team we would like to have a Project Health Report that shows all projects of our team members, instead of only the projects that I am working on. We could use such an overview in our team meetings to talk through all projects. Also it's benficial for tea, leads and program managers.

Please make the people on the project stay visible as you scroll down the chart. It's impossible to assign RACI to people if I can't see who it is.

Support printouts with less vertical space
Create a print view with a level of detail in between "collapsed" and "expanded".
If a group is composed of sequential tasks, display those on a single row but preserve the color and container shape: [first task duration][second task duration][third task duration]
If a group has two simultaneous tasks, the second task would be displayed on a second line.

Allow everyone to access a Template project
You have to be a member of a project that has been flagged as "Template". That means all new employees need to be added manually (right?). This is overhead and error prone.
A template-project should appear in everyone's New Project window.
Considering that New project is an advanced function, I am not seeing a security issue here - it's all within one company.2 votes -

I would find it ideal if I had a "notes" section for each task/group/milestone where I could enter a description of the what the item "means." I am using the comments now but I don't want to create a list of comments as I edit the description.
Here is an example:
I have a task called "create project charter." I would like to have an area on that task where I can provide guidance to my team on what should be included in a "project charter." My definition of this deliverable and other tasks/groups/milestones is evolving as we work through…2 votes -
Email notifications whenever someone updates teamgantt
It would be useful for teamgantt to email the admin of a project whenever someone has provided an update to the project. Or have a weekly summary of all the changes.

Allow for filtering by keyword
Put a text field at the bottom of the time filter pulldown that lets me type in a keyword that will filter tasks by their name. When you have repetitive tasks through a project it can help drill in and manage.

It would be helpful if we had an option in our email settings to email us when our assigned tasks begin, rather than right before they are due. By then we should know when the deadline is, and if we get the emails for when we're supposed to begin a task, we actually have enough time to complete them with the reminder.

Making Brainstorming & Planning easy
When adding a new task, one currently has to move to the left side of the screen and find the "+" Icon to create a new task.
When Brainstorming a project, this is a severe techno interruption.
Thats why brainstorming steps in a plain text editor or excel is so enjoyable. The brain doesnt get distracted/ doesnt have to >look for something<For Gantt, one solution could be:
Adding a task with a double (or triple) click right where it is needed.

Milestones outside of groups
It would be helpful to view milestone dates across the entire roadmap, especially since milestones often occur outside of a particular project (like important events/meetings/checkins).
Further, it would be helpful to see reference lines for relevant milestone indicated vertically on the timeline so you can see how those dates intersect the tasks.

Show Budgeted Time vs Actual Time Worked
The actual time worked should be entered by the person doing the work. It could keep the accumulated amount of previous hours/minutes and add new time entries each time work is performed. The total time worked vs the total time budgeted for each task would be a very useful piece or information.

Have a calendar of ALL Projects without using Select ALL
It would be nice to have a auto-updating calendar of ALL active/hold projects without having to Select-All -> Open Multiple Projects every time.
It should just auto-include a newly created project in the "Project Manager Overview" feed
