Thanks for all the comments and votes on this. Sorry for the silence on this thread. We are starting some research into this as a potential integration. It would be very interesting to hear how you would like the integration to work. What from Jira would map to what in TeamGantt? Example: User stories from Jira map to TeamGantt tasks. Or tasks from Jira map to tasks in TeamGantt. Many thanks for any input you can provide.

Thanks for all the comments on this. We are still hashing it out and it's a possibility for down the road. I can definitely see how this would be useful. We are getting ready to release a feature for estimating how many hours a task will take. We are kicking around ideas for possibly working something like this in as well for a later release.

I can see how this would be useful. However, we probably won't be able to implement this one anytime in the immediate future as there a few complexities to this.
1) How would you want percent complete handled? Would you need to track the percent complete of each "phase" on that line?
2) How would resources be assigned? Does each "phase" need to be able to be assigned to different resources or does every phase get the same resource?
3) Dependencies could be a bit tricky as well.
Our goal is to keep TeamGantt as simple as possible. So we would need to find a way to do all this and still have the app be very simple to use. We will still think on it and consider it down the road. Any additional input to the above questions is welcome.

Unfortunately, we don't have any update on this at the moment. We do have the ability to import/export CSV files if you are able to convert your MS Project file to CSV.

We are currently working on a CSV import that should be out in a few weeks. Assuming that you can export your MS Project file to CSV this will be a good start. After we get done the CSV import we have a few other features to work in. Then we want to come back to add other file types such as MS Project files to the import.

We haven't officially put this on the roadmap yet. An API is still something we hope to do, but have other features we are working on at the moment too.

Unfortunately, we don't have any news on this yet. The best workaround would be the one mentioned in the original post regarding setting up a special calendar project and syncing that with TeamGantt. We'll keep this in mind for down the road though.

Thanks for the feedback on this and the use case. Unfortunately, we don't have any news on this feature at the moment. We have a few other features currently in the works, but this is on our radar. We will continue to evaluate this as a potential add in.

There is currently an option to share a public link to the project. This way the person you are sending it too would not have to log in or create an account. You can also hide files and comments.
To do this, open the project and click Menu→Embed. This is where you can adjust settings to optionally hide information. You will need to create a public key. Then click “Get Embed Code”. The very last option is a link that you can copy and paste.
We need to make this easier, but at least it’s possible for now.

Thanks for all the feedback on this. It is something we are considering, although I don't think we will be able to get to it as soon as we would like as we have a pretty good backlog of features going right now.
Hopefully we can work this in at some point next year. I can definitely see how this would be very useful.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, we only support credit cards. I'm not sure if it would help or not, but we do offer a yearly subscription. This would be a one time charge and you receive a 10% discount for paying in advance. I hope this helps!

You can actually currently link milestones from one project to another by opening multiple projects in one window and then creating dependencies between the tasks/milestones.
However, in order for changes in one project to affect another project you would have to have both projects open when making the adjustments.
Alternatively, you could open both projects and check for any red lines indicating violations and manually adjust the the tasks/milestones until there are no red lines.

You are absolutely correct. We actually plan on working on this after we get a few more things implemented.
We are thinking something along the lines of the ability to enter the number of hours you think each task will take. So even if you have a task scheduled for 5 days but want to budget only 15 hours, you could enter 15 for the hours (but it would still display over 5 days).
Then there would be some type of visual indicator showing how "booked" a resource is.
Is this the type of thing you are looking for?

Hi. We are planning on adding the ability to have users emailed automatically when they have new tasks assigned to them.
Also, once you invite them, you can have them update their tasks if you like.

Awesome! Glad you like it :). We have some great new filtering and a few other nice features planned to come out before undo. But it is something we plan on doing.
