It is therefore extremely useful to filter by color in TeamGantt as we can see all of the manufacturing tasks that need to be completed (for example). It is also useful that default colors can be assigned to individual resources, as some of our employees generally only perform certain tasks (e.g., assembly).
The problem is that we don't use the other 10 colors, and many of these look similar (especially because the difference between the "complete" and "incomplete" states are darker/lighter versions of each color--one color's "complete" appearance can look like another color's "incomplete" appearance).
When filtering, it can take a couple tries sometimes to pick the right color to filter by--was manufacturing "operation orange" or "outstanding orange?" And, if someone accidentally colored a task the wrong shade, that task won't appear once the filter was applied.
So, the feature request: it would be nice if these generic color names (such as "operation orange") could be re-named to reflect their use (e.g., "manufacturing"). It would be an added bonus if the list of colors could be edited (e.g., remove the unused colors from the list).

On our project(s), we color code tasks according to the type of work involved. Our scheme is as follows:
"Operation Orange" - manufacturing
"Blissful Blue" - testing
"Gainful Green" - cleaning (we work in cleanrooms)
"Mustard" - assembly
"Prolific Purple" - logistics (procurement, shipping, moving things around)
"Rosy Red" - design
