    Yes, would like to see this feature too. I know you guys want to keep it simple, but people always compare it to MS Project and lacking some feature can mean it isn't adopted.

  2. Allow a task or milestone to be marked as "locked." so that it doesn't automatically move when other dependent tasks move.

    Yes please, really need this feature as deadlines for external vendors are normally hard deadlines.

    This is needed, we have staff working over different countries and this is key. We also use external resources in different countries and their work holidays are very different. We use China for some manufacturing and they'll work over Christmas, but are closed for weeks over the Chinese New Year.

    I agree with this, Microsoft Project has a column in gantt chart view that is titled Duration and this displays the weeks, days of the period. Having this would provide much better and provide transparency without needing to drill down.
