    Would certainly be useful where projects are tracked in multiple systems. Number order does not need to reflect task order (i.e. numbers should not change when tasks are re-ordered, inserted or deleted) but the hierarchy (1.2.3.4, etc) should be present and showing or hiding numbers should be a UI option. Currently most of our projects end up with these numbers being inserted by hand, so that documents, wiki pages, development tickets, etc, can all be "tracked back" to a specific task on the overall project.
